After days of blogging, a weekend full of hockey, and a President’s Day spent indoors with 4 kids, I would say it’s time for some pampering!
I know, I look like Michael Meyers, no one said it was a pretty sight! Hehehe!
Ladies, this is what it takes to stay looking young and rejuvenated:) In case you’re wondering what exactly is going on in this pic, here it is… I have on a moisturizing face and lip mask, teeth whitening trays in my mouth, and hair oil in my hair. All it takes is 15 minutes! Remember, take time for yourself!
The Products I Used
In this cold weather, moisturizing my face is a must. I decided to try these SK-II masks. Chrissy Teigen uses them and her skin always looks good, so I thought why not! All you do is put the cotton mask on, and wait for the results! They come in packages of 1, 6, and 10. It’s slightly cheaper to buy them in multiple quantities, so I bought the pack of 6. If you want to try them out, purchase one and see if you love it as much as I do!
Another great product, that I happened to stumble upon while reading the Neiman Marcus beauty book, are the flash patch lip gels by Patchology. I immediately ran out and bought them, because I don’t know about you, but my lips take a beating in the winter. Doesn’t matter how much lip balm I use, they are always dry. Use these lip gels anytime your lips need a little hydration.
You can’t see from the pic, but I am also simultaneously whitening my teeth. My dentist/uncle suggested that I use these teeth whiteners (I drink way too much coffee and tea). I did and they work wonders. I bought mine at his office, but they are available online as well.
Now, we mustn’t forget about the hair. The winter not only takes a toll on our skin, but it totally dries out the hair as well. That’s when a good hair oil is in order! I like to use Leonor Greyl hair oil, but there are many out there to choose from.
I don’t have a lot a “me” time these days and I’m sure most of you don’t either. If you can set aside a small amount of time each week, whether it be to pamper yourself with a face mask, read a book, do some yoga, or just sit in silence, your body and mind will thank you! It’s an amazing feeling to just “stop”, if you know what I mean!
