Spiced Pear Martini

Are you searching for a fab signature holiday cocktail?  Well, I have just what you’ve been looking for!  How does a spiced pear martini sound?  I’m thinking it perfect…right?  It’s tasty, pretty, and the combination of pear, vodka, and cinnamon scream Christmas!  Props to the pomegranate martini, but that cocktail has been done many times before.  It’s time to try something new!

Here is what you’ll need:

  • Vodka
  • Spiced pear juice (got mine from whole foods)
  • Cointreau or any orange flavored liqueur
  • Cinnamon sticks and 1 pear for garnish

The recipe is super simple:  Fill your martini shaker to the top with ice.  Add one part (shot) of vodka, a dash of cointreau, and 3 parts pear juice.  You may adjust recipe to taste, if you like it a little sweeter and not as strong, obviously add more juice.  Shake vigorously and pour into martini glass.  Add a cinnamon stick and a slice of pear on the edge of the glass and you’re done.  I promise your guests will love this cocktail!

For a mocktail version:  Fill a glass with ice.  Pour in 2/3 juice and 1/3 club soda (I actually used pear/peach flavored La Croix)!  Add a cinnamon stick and a fun straw and now you have a drink for the kiddos as well:)

Now if you’re not hosting the holidays, the ingredients also make a super cute hostess gift!  Just throw all of the ingredients into a nice basket, add a couple of martini glasses, some cocktail napkins and there you have it, the traveling spiced pear martini!

Remember, a great cocktail makes for a fabulous party:)
