I am a firm believer that our home reflects our personality. Even if you’ve hired a designer, you’re the one still making all of the decisions, because you want to be comfortable in your space. With that said, so begins the psychology of paint color discussion. Believe it or not, the paint colors that you choose actually have meaning behind them, and can represent the type of person that you are, based on the color you have chosen. The reason the bedroom wall color has such significance, is because it’s the room where people spend most of their private time. The bedroom is a room of contentment, so why wouldn’t we choose a color that makes us feel the most like ourselves.
So here goes, I decided to do a little Psychology of Color research. I started my investigation by looking at color charts and the effect these colors have on people. I found that the personality traits associated with certain colors actually made sense and it was reasonable to think that a person could “relate” to a certain color . To put the theory to the test, I used my own bedroom wall color, which has been newly painted to gray. I compared the meaning of the color to my personality, and it was on point! Now, it’s not rocket science and no I’m not a psychic, this is just some fun little information that I thought all of you would enjoy!
I chose 11 colors to research, take a look, find your color and see if the psychology is true for you! Have fun:)
